PSA Antwerp is the container gateway to Europe, with excellent transhipment and hinterland connections for all rail, road, barge and short-sea transport.

The terminals are equipped with state-of-the-art handling equipment, controlled by high performance IT applications. All terminals offer full loading and unloading facilities, as well as related services such as container repair, warehousing and stuffing and stripping.

In 2009 PSA Antwerp handled around 6.1 million TEU*.

In Antwerp, shipping companies can enjoy all the benefits of a ‘sea port on the river’. The port’s inland location ensures that cargoes can be loaded and unloaded in close proximity to the customer. Further transport with another means of transportation is thus limited to a minimum. PSA Antwerp has 4 container terminals in Antwerp, before and behind the locks as well as one multipurpose terminal behind the locks. As a result, the largest full container carriers with a tight sailing schedule as well as niche carriers with a more flexible sailing schedule can be handled at the right terminal.
